Limited Visa Services Available at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem and Branch Office in Tel Aviv

The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem and Branch Office in Tel Aviv have suspended routine visa processing due to the authorized departure of non-emergency personnel. Only emergency services for U.S. citizens are available. Applicants with interviews scheduled between March 2-6, 2026, will be notified for rescheduling.

On February 27, the Department of State authorized the departure of non-emergency U.S. government personnel and their family members from Israel.  Embassy Jerusalem and Branch Office Tel Aviv remain operational and are prioritizing services for U.S. citizens.  Routine visa processing is not currently available.  Applicants with visa interviews scheduled in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv between Monday, March 2, 2026, and Friday, March 6, 2026 will receive an email notification regarding rescheduling appointments upon resumption of services.  For updates on U.S. visa processing in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, please visit https://il.usembassy.gov/visas/.
